Thailand eases Curfew hours and allows Malls to Open

The Thai government has decided that from Sunday, May 17th new curfew times will be in place instead of 10 pm to 4 am now it will be from 11 pm to 4 am until further notice.

Also Taweesin Wisanuyothin the spokesman for the government has announced some easing of other restrictions in place due to the pandemic.

Shopping malls are allowed to open from Sunday but with strict social distancing and screening measures put in place and the opening hours for malls will be from 10 am to 8 pm.

Cinemas will remain closed but food courts in malls can also be opened from Sunday. Other retail stores will also be allowed to open which includes book stores, furniture stores, electronics, office supplies, cosmetics, sports stores and you can finally wash your car in the car washes.

Massage shops are not allowed to open and must stay closed for now.

Also the borders will remain shut until further notice except for cargo.

You can travel between provinces but it is discouraged.
